Building a Home Plumbing

Hard Labor Soil

If anyone can provide some information-- we are to be deeded land from family inheritance where the front half is Percolet (did I spell that right?) back half is hard labor. Can a shop with no septic be built on hard labor without massive extra expense?

You mean “percolate” in the text of water draining through the soil? Or pacolet which is a specific type of soil?

Do you need to hit bedrock for the foundation? I dont know maybe someone does. Do you have a geotech report?

we have a soil investigation report that showed the soil types

@Katie Endres We have both soil types on our property. Our home, which includes basement, is currently being built on Hard Labor soil. Of the multiple soils on our property, the only one we were given a warning in regards cost was the Cartecay.
