Whats wrong with my plant?

I need some help! I’m new to this and recently bought a plant, and the leaves are discolouring. I’m not sure if I’m under watering/over watering or related to humidity of the room. Anyone got any advice?

location.. big city name ...

when you carried it out to the car.. how cold was it ...

except for temp problems.. not much should happen that fast with a new plant ...

unless you have a forced air furnace.. and your skin is itchy from lack of house humidity ... i doubt that is an issue ...

it is stressed... fert is not a response to stress ... and if it just came from the grower .. its got enough fert in it for many months ...

its also possible.. that it got cold damage while shipping from grower to seller...

I read that article in the link provided above and, although I am a novice, I have to disagree. The reddish color of the leaves are probable a combination of two things: 1. The species has a tendency to have a bit of red in the leaf; & 2. You are giving the plant too much sun. The spots in the leaves are ALSO indicative of too much sun. My mother had a similar species that she insists on keeping on her window sill. The leaves eventually turn red and have blister/pimple like dots in the leaves. I took the healthy cuttings from her plant, rooted them in water and planted them in soil and they are fine. They have some red ( which I think is pretty ) but it is not from direct sunlight. They are in a bright spot but away from direct sun. I will include a pic. See the red in the tips? No dots/ blisters on leaves so I know the mother plant had no disease.

Cherry Tomato Leaf Damage

My cherry tomato has been struggling with leaf damage and I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the cause. Here in Phoenix we are experiencing a heat wave. Today's high is 112. Ever since the temperature spiked some of my leaves on my cherry tomato plant have wilted. I thought it was due to the high heat until I saw a lot of insect damage. Now I'm trying identify what's wrong with my plant so I can better treat it. Should I remove the damaged leaves now or wait until the heat wave has passed. As for the insect damage is there something I could spray on my plant that could help? I just saw some baby tomato's growing and I would hate to loose them.

Any of the PJM's will tolerate full sun. In fact, they prefer it. The older leaves on any broadeaved evergreen shrub are discarded as they outlive their usefulness. And they often become mottled or yellow before they do so. As long as it only affects the older, lower foliage, I wouldn't be too worried.

@Phoenix Rising It might have been, when I bought it, it was really cold (-2 C) outside and it was in warehouse. Do you think it could be the change in temperature from when I bought it and now its in my room where I am trying to keep the room cool.

@ken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5 Thank you Ken for welcoming me. From Manchester UK. When I bought it, it was cold outside -2/-3 Celsius. The car was cold when we got back as I did a big shop that day but was home with 15mins.

I do want to point out the room where I keep the foliage plant has a water tank, do you think that has an effect on it? I have a air purifier but only general use it every couple of days, could it be linked to that?

Is there anything I can do to stop it as I am noticing other leaves above are picking it up, would it be best to remove?
