Benjamin Moore Boothbay Gray

Need help with colors that work with Boothbay Gray! I recently had my kitchen cabinets painted in this color. It's pretty but looks more blue then expected. Can anyone suggest paint colors for adjoining rooms or accent colors that would work with this color?

Boothbay Gray is from the Blue-Green Hue Family. If paint companies shared more useful information about each colour it might help indicate what to expect.

here are some companion colours from that region of the colour wheel.

These are just a couple of suggested routes. Have a look at more colours in these regions in the Colorography Lab at The Land of Color .com

Thank you! There is an accent wall in an adjoining room and I am really struggling with a color for the wall because it is so close to the Boothbay Gray kitchen cabinets. I was considering Farrow and Ball De Nimes but still trying to decide.

They would work well in proximity to each other. They are from the Blue-Green + Blue Families respectively.

De Nîmes is both darker and more saturated than Boothbay Gray.

Thank you for your advice. Are there any other colors you might recommend that would coordinate with Boothbay Gray? I painted the wall finally and not sure I like it. See image. Boothbay is looking very blue probably from the new LED recessed lighting I had installed.

I'm not sure the two colors work together in this space. Maybe once the leather sofa and refrigerator are removed the colors will look better together?

We are still in the process of renovating.

I have to say - I think the deeper wall looks great! Is it De Nimes? I like the cabinetry too. But the blue you see in the cabinetry, is an inherent part of its colour DNA. The lighting is probably quite balanced if the colour appears that way.

If you are looking for a further wall colour are you considering the same Hue Family neighbourhood as these two colours (top suggestions) or from the Yellow Hue Family, (2nd lot of colours) or something else?

Lighter than Boothbay? Darker? More neutral? More colourful?

Thank you-our trim is actually White Dove and the walls surrounding the kitchen and family room are Sherwin Williams City Loft. Originally I had Kendall Charcoal or Inchyra Blue picked out for the accent wall but then changed my mind and went with DeNimes. I have tried samples of several different green shades but can't seem to find one that works with Boothbay Gray. It's very frustrating (-:

Im considering Boothbay gray for my kichen island. white shaker cabin in a 640 square foot apartment, the walls will be grey owl.

im hoping the green undertone is pushed forward rather than blue. Now i dont know what to do
