Help with small bedroom design with awkward windows!

We're moving into a small master bedroom (13'1'' by 11'1'') and I'm at a loss trying to figure out what to put on the windows and how to layout the room.

We have a california king bed (plain black frame w/o headboard) that I think has to go on the long wall because there's a large, off-center window on the other wall. I think we can still fit nightstands and a small dresser. I'd also love to put a chair in the room if it'll fit.

My main questions are:

- what kind of window treatments should we use? I'm thinking floor length curtains for the large window and blinds or cellular shade for the small one but am open to other ideas

- Is there any better way to arrange the bed/other furniture? We don't actually have nightstands yet so we can be creative with those.

- Would an accent wall make it more cohesive? Or would that look weird with the small off-center window

- What size rug do you think we need?

Any other observations or recommendations would also be very appreciated! I don't know if it matters for these questions, but our style is mid-century modern/minimalist. Thanks in advance!

It seems like you would want them to match in a small space to tie everything together, but I’m really not sure.

The grey squares are mirror (which i would also use a similar trim to the windows at the top and bottom in order to make it appear as if it is another window. The orange color are curtain placement (i would recommend floor to ceiling to make the 8ft ceilings look taller). and blue in furniture. the benefit of one versus the other is in A - this is the most dramatic appearance. it is literally the first place you see. and it gives you space at the end to do anything you might want (add a chair to read, or a yoga mat if you are into that) without blocking a door (this is important if there is more than one person in the room. B is second best as the next spot your eye goes to but it doesnt leave as much room.

Oh wow, somehow I missed this reply! Thank you so much for the suggestions! I'll have to think about the mirror idea... I think knowing that it's a mirror and not a window might bother me more than the asymmetry of the windows as they currently are. Maybe I could just do it on whichever wall the headboard is on. That seems like the most important wall to have symmetry.

Putting the bed on the other wall really does open up the room! I thought it might feel too cramped on that wall but everything we need fits

Maybe the layout with the head of the bed on the larger window side with beautiful wall to wall curtains?
