The Mad Max meme cracks me up... but also sorta hits a bit close to home.

Anyway, on to the K’s. I have no pictures of Korean Snow, but here are Krossa Regal, and Kaleidochrome.

Nice looking Hosta Beth. Are you almost always the first to post? Luckily I found some more pics yesterday with a couple of new Ks. Otherwise, you would have been stuck with these pics of Kanzi and Kisuji unfurling.

Now I can add these later season pics of them.

I think we're going to see a lot of Kiwi Full Monty today.

Now to go see if any of the other newfound photos are worth posting in the previous alphabet threads.

My two "K" hostas. The Kiwi Full Monty is a new plant this summer. Hoping it gets as beautiful as the ones posted. Planted on the west side of house so hope it does not fade. Really like the darker colors of those pictured.

My Krossa Regal is one of three mature plants. It is getting about as much sun as it can tolerate (west again). Plants are doing well but by summer's end they are fading. Picture taken end of September. Does not show it's full size.

Steve, Beth and sunnywood - really like your Kiwi Full Monty

Windymess, your Krossa looks nice, very erect and good color.

I only have one "K" hosta. I purchased a NOID in 2018. I believe it is Krossa Regal.

I purchased as one huge eye in 2018. In 2019 it had 7 eyes. In 2020, 10 eyes. I was bad because I never repotted it until 2020---and the roots looked great! Go figure.

Noooo!!! I don't want to live in a Mad Max world!

windymess, your first photo is so pretty. Your hostas have really grown!

One lonely K for me today.....

Kiwi Full Monty .....I've since moved the Rodgersia looming over it. I moved a lot of plants this year.

windymess - no, KD is still in the barrel. I really should take it out this year and change the media but not sure if I will or not.

Debra, I think you meant to post in the "H" alphabet.

Old_dirt, it's important to remove some of the media from the top of your KD each year and add fresh media. That's what Bob Solberg said he does with his KD which has been in the same pot for 7 years!

All my Ks suffer from root competition so no photos of Kabitan nor Krossa Regal (you all had stunning pics of KR😍).

Kiwi Full Monty is still doing okay beside old dwarf alberta spruce but is rather slow grower in this location

newhostalady - I've heard of that process but wonder how much to remove and the roots are right up to the top. Would make it difficult to remove the media without cutting or tearing lots of roots. I will surely look at that option come spring.

    Laura..I LOVE your ferns..😍

debra, good luck on Wednesday. Wishing you a speedy recovery! You'll be back in the garden before you know it.

Yes Debra, just imagine how good you will feel now that soon both will be done.

old dirt, how about poking lightly to loosen the potting soil and blow the loosened bits off with a leaf blower? Then add new media? Bob Solberg said KD is his largest potted hosta and gets special treatment in the spring---he brings it in the house in April when there is a frost warning!

Good luck Debra. Hope you're good as new by spring time!

Thanks so much for all the well wishes everyone.....at Least I know what to expect this time around.

Tonight I have time to make some comments: first I have to say that all of the Krossa Regals and Kiwi Full Montys all look terrific!

    beth, love that Komodo Dragon

    oursteelers, nice shots of KR.

windymess, I love your Kaleidoscope! That is a new one to me. Is the streaking stable over time??

utog, really nice shot of Krugerrand with the light

steve I love the picture of Kanzi unfurling

sunnywood, I have be thinking of add Key West and your photo really wants to order it

peren, the flower on Kikuti is beautiful and different from others I have seen.

nicholsworth, love your row of Krossas, can’t have to many

old_dirt, I love your Komodo Dragon in the pot. If you take it out of the pot you could divide it and have 2 or 3, but it would take some to get big again

    mbug,that Kinba is stunning

hosta_maker, it would be nice to see that seedling develop

diane, your Kiwi looks like the one I had, which died out. I hope yours has a brighter future

Sandyslopes, your photo of your KFM shows the soft coloring it has

Laura, your KFM is just as lovely as everyone else’s

    debra
