Tried several times with out success. Crossed with several that was in bloom at the time and even had good seed. It takes the seed almost a year to ripen and it looked like good seed but it just didn't germinate for me.

I know some who had luck with crosses and got some interesting looking plants. They were different species and not the same one. So I do think if you had good seed from a moonshine, they would be a mix mostly of regular green sans with a few moonshine. Just my guess.

I currently have several seed pods on one of my plants. They can't be good seed due to no insect around to self pollinate it. It was in my basement during late October. When the berries turn red I will check to see or if just puss balls. Only one in bloom at the time and one that I don't want any more of.

My variegated Hosta bloom and set seed all the time. Never got a variegated plant yet out of hundreds that sprouted like weeds around my yard. Mostly blue and green and a few yellow.
