I would wait until you get the new table, not sure why its not working but its very rare that you would loose all the sockets in the light fixture. I say this because if you change your style by the time you get a new table you would need another light or what if you fall in love with a table and the size or shape change?

Thank you for your advice! Unfortunately, the new table will be a few years down the road and I can’t wait until then to get lighting in this room. I know I’ll do another rectangular table in here that would seat at least 8.
