Minuteman looked better than ever last year... but I have no pictures (what was I thinking?). Midnight Oil was small and after planting it was severely damaged by a rabbit... I’ll be surprised if it comes back.

Beth - first as usual, great sunset in the Lakeside thread. I miss living near the water. Oh, and your Hostas look ok too ;>). Don't know why I don't have Moonlight Sonata yet. Yours looks fantastic.

Loving the M. aureos. Finally got one in 2019 and moved it in 2020. Just waiting for it to recover now. I started with a good sized/multi-eyed one so hopefully next year it leaps.

I remember hearing Mack the Knife had orange margins back when it was new (in 1996) and created quite a stir. Yes, 20 years before I started growing Hostas in Ohio. But it was quite pricey and in southern California mine only lasted a few years. 23 years later and its not so pricey and not quite orange and not a great pic. Still happy to have it.

Maggie May - The largest 2 leaved Hosta I've seen. Hope I left enough room for it. Who am I kidding. I'll just end up moving it or something else later.

My 2nd Mango Tango and new last year. For only $9, I had to get another one. Happy with the size too.

Montana aureomarginata. This is the hosta that got me into hostas. I first learned of it from following Gardenweb posts and by searching Google for "most beautiful hosta". In my excitement, I did not grasp the sheer size of this plant when mature. My photos are trying to capture the size of the plant. I think it will do well in this spot. I moved it twice before settling it here 3 years ago.

April 5, 2020, with light frost damage from its tendency to break dormancy in late February or early March in my zone.

Mystic Star is my favorite blue. I took dozens of pictures of this one in my effort to capture its beauty. I never succeeded, but here are my best attempts.

Wow, had no idea Monkey Business was so upright. That's a winner! Almost bought it a couple years ago, but since I didn't, it fell off my list. Now it's back on.

Morning Angel is also nice. Looks like a shiny green Moonlight Sonata which makes sense as they share Invincible as the pod parent. I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

this one is getting lots of south and west sun. Colors tend towards more yellows through summer but it grows really well. Much taller than the north side ones. Nice flowers (end of June)

Good to see you posting already Debra. Love the Magic Island progression. Yours seems darker than my young one. I wonder if that is a maturity issue or if yours is in mostly shade. Mine gets some late afternoon sun. Here it is on May 6th.

I was admiring utog's Monkey Business and decided I needed one for myself. I found it at Naylor Creek last week and they had a bunch left, at least 10. I'm trying to avoid the impulse buying so I waited until today to order it. You snooze, you lose. All sold out, there and everywhere else. Guess I'm not the only one admiring utog's or did I just miss it on the nightly news?

Steve you would be correct about Magic Island......it’s in total shade. Can it handle the sun? I have thought of relocating it. I have a number of hostas along a fence line on the south side of the yard. I should probably move most of them.......Wheee, Island Breeze, Magic Island, Prairie Sky, LS Paisley Print.......they are all doing ok, but would have better color with a bit of sun probably.
