The tile above reminds me of New Ravenna tile. They do have stone, glass and mother of pearl tile. Have you looked at Oceanside glass tile. You can make a custom blend. We were recommended to use glass or porcelain. Oceanside has a very good website were you can make your own blend with the sizes, pattern, colors, etc. New Ravenna website use to show which tiles can be used in a swimming pool it might still show it. Their tiles are beautiful but pricey.

Another great place for tile is Lunada Bay. Their tiles are on the more expensive side, similar to Oceanside, but depends on how much surface you are covering. They have glass tile in different shapes and sizes (for example Haisen or Just Add Water), however always check that it is rated for pools before installing. Tiles on a wall like that need to handle extreme temperatures of hot and cold and need to be installed properly. Another options for walls that we have used is there are some 3D tiles out there from Atlas Concorde - but again, make sure they are porcelain and rated for this use around water. Many wall tiles out there have dimension but are not good for pool applications. When we get creative in our designs, many times we have to order tile and can not use something off the shelf. Find a reputable tile distributor (not the big box types) and they have books of tiles you can look at, they can order you samples too if they don't have any in stock and you want to see a larger view of it, and they can make sure that the tile is spec'd for pool application. And if you are looking for Island Stone, Facings of America is a distributor there, if you need a contact there- Ask for Keri Creamer - she works at the Scottsdale location and has worked with us for years so she's good at helping customers choose appropriate tiles for pool applications. You will need to call to make an appointment because I don't think they are doing walk-ins. They also distribute Lunada Bay. Depending who is building your pool - they may have a contact there as well. A lot of the local pool companies stick with Noble or National Pool Tile and send clients there - but we like to think outside the box so feel free to call if you have any other questions.
