So I've recently moved into a new house and I'm really unsure of how to handle a dining room table. The window isn't placed where I think it should be and any table won't be able to be centered at the window because of it's proximity to the kitchen.

What style of table would work best here (round, square, rectangular)? Does the table need to be centered?

Table can seat any number of people, it doesn't matter.

I've also included pictures of the kitchen colors and the one piece of dining room furniture we currently have, if anyone has ideas of something that would work. The buffet can be sold or placed in another place, so it isn't a huge deal if it doesn't work with the table.
