I’m no expert on Muscadines and their preferred method of pruning, but that looks like a good start. You’ll just have to pay attention to how they grow and produce with this type of pruning.

You might be making it much harder on yourself by allowing the vines to have such long cordons (the arms). im not sure if there are any viable buds on the arms closer to the truck but if there are id recommend pruning the arms down shorter/closer- vines can be extremely vigorous if aloud and with so much room for growth, they'll grow crazy.

As for the pruning method: the double VSP is fairly straightforward and easy to maintain. Just keep an eye on the bud positioning on the vine to avoid crowding and poor growth.

muscadine are typically run on a single wire 10 ft in each direction (20 ft total). I’ve not seen like that with one wire below the other. Seems the top would block the bottom and you’d need to constantly prune. Since you just moved in give them a year. Hopefully you can taste a few fruits. there are many new varieties if you don’t like the taste of the ones there.

Took me over 5 hours to prune both trellises they didn't prune they just wrapped The Vines over one another there were some Vines 20 ft long wrapped over each other it was crazy. The main vines really don't have any new buds so I'm leaving some longer laterals and just see what happens this spring. I might just get rid of that lower Vine altogether since there's not much buds on it
