I am in need of help with the placement of recessed lighting in my kitchen and breakfast area. The size of the kitchen part is apx 12x12 and the breakfast part is 6x9. The yellow line designates the 2 rooms - the empty spaces are doorways into the dining room and hallway. There are 2 existing ceiling lights (red dots) that I currently have track lighting, but will probably be replaced - with what, I don't know ... pendant or recessed?

Where would you put the recessed lights - and what would you put where the existing light feature is now? The ceiling is popcorn, so if I could re-use that hole and not have to try and repair that would be best.
