IMO lower the rod and do the drspes to touch the floor. keep in mind when the baby starts walking drapes are never a good idea they become the thing to grab always .

Hmm- agree with @Patricia Colwell Consulting about drapes to floor likely an issue for walking baby. It’s that reason that makes me wonder if the shorter drapes would be better. What furniture, if any, is planned for the window wall? Would drape length help or hinder arrangement? Love the mouse picture on floor!

I will be getting the rocker in this picture, facing the window I’m thinking it will go to the right of the window, I thought about that too with the baby being able to pull them if long, I’m ordering the 63 online( they were out in store), just indecisive!

Nice rocker- upholstered for softness & swivels too. So, a table to set things on, a lamp to read by & all set! Maybe a bookshelf or some kind of shelving under window instead of table & can use top as table & a floor lamp?

Yeah I was thinking some of those white floating book shelves from ikea either under window or on the wall to the left of the window, need to find a small side table and light too

Also will need to find a 5x7 area rug, I’m thinking a gray/white design one, open to any suggestions!

What do you like about the curtains?? They are just plain fabric. Find something fun, it's a kid's room. Maybe a valance

I like the color and that they are plain, I looked at kids ones but didn’t see anything that caught my attention

I plan on adding fun little details with the decor/crib sheet etc

That’s what I was thinking about the rug - some color would be my choice - maybe find a rug first then circle back to the curtains. Neither need to be a specific baby or juvenile theme or primary bright colors either.. But, babies like to look at things and at a really early age - right? 🧸

You don't need curtains in this room. Short ones look cheap, and long ones will be in the way when your baby starts crawling and pulling up on things. Just use the blinds. You can get plenty of color and interest through other items in the room. For the rug, look for a very low pile so it's easy to play on.

Even though there are blinds, they don’t do the best job at blocking out light so I will need black out curtains, I don’t think short ones look cheap, we have them in our bedroom to block out light bc long ones would get in the way, I have ordered the short ones too so will most likely go with those considering the baby will be grabbing the long ones, thanks all!
