Mage Quest is a decent performer here.
Magic Lake performs well in too much shade.
Mary’s Baby was added here after hearing Maryl’s praise about being sunfast. It looks great all day, every day.
Mini Pearl still has a place here because it blooms later in the season and is a profuse bloomer for me.
Moroccan Sunrise was in the top five bud count here last season.
Mr. Skeffington is getting established here.
Mysterious Eyes has done well, has had good increase.
This clump of moonlit Masquerade was lifted and divided the summer of 2019 and it performed like this spring 2020,

I have quite a few M's . Some are fairly new and others have been around for quite a number of years. Here are some that have been labelled so I can find them on my computer .

Minted Halo is one of my fav's .....a lovely shade of pink with a gold edge . It is fairly new and I can't wait until it reaches clump size.

Memorial to Steve --well budded
Mexicali Blues is a favorite, though its branching won't win any awards.
Memphis had a great year, with higher bud count than previous year.
Matchless Fire I don't care for. Takes a pretty picture, but wilts quickly.

Mai Tai --such a beautiful blend.
Magic Amethyst --so often splotchy
Man of Sorrows
Mister Mayor -vigorous.
Mister Butters --one of the earliest
Martha Edson Norris --nice but a bit short

I have a lot of "M" daylilys. Like Mantis, I will divide and still get messed up by Houzz most likely I will begin with Mint Octopus, doubtlessly one of my most successful bonus plants.

IMy next one is an absolute favorite of mine which I can never get a good phot that actually reveals the rich orange of the blooms; and Heather, I loved the orange Magic Dragon you posted. Julia, thank you for this beauty.

Kay, your Mint Octopus always looks appealing, though not for up north. I think you have a picture of Mean Green in the last group. I have never grown Marilyn Lee Bock. HoosierNan did not view it as favorably as Clown Parade has been reviewed (but Dick gave a favorable review).

5 years agoNice M's! Sherry I really like Mary's Baby. Heather, several of yours really appeal to me. I'll mention a couple: Mauna Loa & Moral Constraints. Mantis, I especially like Moral Imperatives and Magic Amethyst. Too bad the latter is often splotchy, but this picture is perfect! Kay, Mint Octopus is pretty.

5 years agoSo many nice M's. Mr. Skeffington looks good. We had it but it died in the vole apocalypse before it bloomed. Mauna Loa was one of our first daylilies. It's not fancy but it certainly draws your eye across the garden. Mighty Chestnut is a mighty performer in our garden.
Madeline Nettles Eyes is one of the few true miniature tets we grow.
Magic Rises was a bonus. It's pretty, but it probably won't stay long in the garden.
Man-eater is frustrating because I can't get it to set seeds.
Man-eating Bat was new the fall before last season. I can't wait to see how it does this year.
Bet you can't guess who wanted this one. Mardi Gras Indian is a really bright color.

Martha Edson Norris was in the spot that got smashed by a tree. It's been moved so now we will see what it can do.
Mary Ethel Anderson is one of my favorite little ones.
Maynard Max was hybridized by our friend here in Indiana. It's a great grower but doesn't want to set seeds.
Meet Your Destiny was a bonus plant.
Mema's Simone is a small one. I like the nice form with a bit of sculpting on this one.

Midnight Potions is fairly new. I hope we can keep it alive (it's a Salter) because I love the color and teeth on the edge of the sepals.
Mighty Chestnut in our garden.
Millicent Bystander bloomed twice for us last year.
Moving Forward is a southern that has done well for us.
My Friend Mary Jane is one of the toothiest in the garden, but it barely grows for us. Still, we have gotten some nice seedlings out of it when crossed with Crimson Stories.
My Lips Are Sealed doesn't wow me.

Mystic Maze was a gift from Sandy Holmes to our daughter. It has an interesting shape.

So glad she's doing well for you. I talked to Richard Norris earlier and told him how much I loved this daylily and why. I don't think he knew what a gem he had hybridized for those who live with summer infernos..............My Mary's Baby, as with most purple, is usually some shade of maroon. Although if we have the gift of a cool front it will have more of that velvety purple color. Here is mine in the heat:

5 years agoMemphis was my favorite M and favorite pink last year. It had excellent bud count on the original scapes, and the rebloom scapes. Also, it was its registered height for the first time ever. I guess it likes its new spot.

Mystic Maize was the highest budded registered cultivar in my garden last year.
My Heart Belongs to Daddy looked like this for a few days last summer. It usually looks more like kay's with only a thin edge.

Debra: A daylily I saw at a show in 2017 really struck me. A delicate and unusual combination of peach with a lavender eye, called Coach's Time out. I've been looking for it or something with similar coloration ever since. I find that Maryotts Mexican Magic looks close. Can't tell from data base how the color holds though. Any comments on it? Marmalade is an orange but displays differently depending on light and perhaps weather on any given day.

Malaysian Marketplace did really well for me in 2020, wonder why this posted sideways, but the flower is what I was going for LOL

Maryl - Mexican Magic has not been a good performer for me. It has a very low bud count. I wouldn't recommend it. The color varies on it.
Nancy - I hope Multiple Multiplications returns for you. It is a pretty one. I always like Malaysian Marketplace, and Mama Drama is pretty. Is it really a blue red as it shows in your picture?
David - The Mystery of the Ages clump looks fantastic!
Mantis - Menswear is such a gorgeous, delicate color. It doesn't seem like something one would find in the Menswear department.
Michigan Nikki put on a nice show last year, although it did not rebloom this time.
My Mama Thinks I'm a Star gets shaded out by taller UFs. I may move it this Spring.
Miss Demeanor finally had a few fans reach registered height. One scape had 25 buds.
Melee is a nice red late.
Mystical Intuition was fabulous last year, especially on rebloom.
Men in Black had a strong season, with many fans putting up rebloom.
Minstrel Singer always has perfect round blooms.
Musical Medley grew like gangbusters last year with scapes 10 inches taller than ever before and bud counts in the 20s. It really responded to the compost I put on it.
Maui Sunrise had more red tones in it with the cooler weather we had last year.

I agree that Mexican Magic is not a prime choice, but I will accept 6 buds (for now at least).
Wouldn't you know that Musical Medley gets into shape the year after it left the garden here. The very short scapes just persisted. Yes, Menswear is, I suppose, Hanson playfulness. I wish it were not so late blooming. (Not really midseason here.)
