Hello! Yes, this was drilled in! Small holes were drilled around what would have been the diameter of the insert and it was chiseled out from there. The supplier of the boulder did the drilling work. Hope this helps!

Really like this, I have been told by Fire Boulder people that wood burning can’t be done in rock as it tends to crack from the heat (gas only). This definitely defies that with the Breeo insert… has this fire pit survived? It gives me hope of so as it’s exactly what I want… wood burning is just so much nicer than gas.
