Finalizing master bath remodel design

Our kitchen is nearing completion, so it's time to get the show on the road for our final project: the master suite. Here's the proposed layout (comments welcome):

The only thing I don't like about this is that there's no tall linen storage. We could put something in the closet, I suppose, but the only way I could figure to do it is to lengthen the toilet room like so:

But it seems like that makes the toilet room way too long and narrow. Thoughts?

Also, we have 8'-11" along the sink wall, which leaves us 1" short of fitting 2 24" drawer bases between them. I hate to drop down to 21" and have 5" of fillers, but fully custom cabinets really aren't in the budget, and I don't care to build them myself (did that on the last kitchen; I don't want to spend the time again). Other options?

P.S. We are a couple that likes toilets in rooms with a door and closets off the bathroom. I am well aware of others that think differently, but we prefer both.

2 of my peeves are toilet rooms indide bathrooms and having to walk through the bathroom to get to the closet . The toilet room IMO wastes space and no one should be using the toilet while someone else is in the bathroom ever. If you think hiding the toilet is a good idea get a nicer toilet so since you lie both of those things then go ahead BTW no way on this earth do I want my nice clean towels shut up with the stinky toilet room

I guess when we sell you won't be buying our house, Patricia. :-)

The linen closet would be on the outside of the toilet room, facing the sink.

Having to get to the closet by walking through the bathroom is an absolute NO for me, too.
Moisture from the shower and sinks can penetrate any gap under or around the door and damage your clothing unless you have very good exhaust fans (in the toilet room AND in the bath room) which remove moisture and smells quickly and completely, and IF you use them every single time you are in there.

We all have our own preferences and I will respect your preferences.

For the linen closet - if you have the pocket door with the pocket on the sink side instead of the toilet room side you could have either a linen closet or open shelves that encroach on your closet space and open in the bathroom.

For the counter, have you given any thought to having one sink instead of two? My parents had a 10' vanity with a single sink. Both of my sisters and I have chosen to have just one sink in our bathrooms. The benefit of additional storage is huge, and really, do you need to be using the sink for more than a few minutes at a time? None of us seem to have any issue with two people having to brush their teeth at the exact same time. 2 minutes to brush, 2 minutes to water pick/floss, 1 minute to wash your face. Loose 3 good sized drawers because you can't share a sink that is used for 5 minutes each morning and evening.

In addition to the practical side of this is the look of the expanse of countertop not broken up by sinks and faucets. I think it looks richer and more luxurious.

My only other consideration would be having a really good plan for the closet. So many large closets end up having a chunk of wasted, unusable space in the center.

That's an interesting/creative thought, to have a linen closet in the closet, accessed in the bathroom. I had drawn the pocket door that direction because I'm planning to have medicine cabinets on the side walls by both sinks. Maybe instead of a pocket door we could do a split in-swing door (like 2 half doors) so they don't consume much floor space.

I'm afraid 2 sinks are on our must-have list as well. We only have one now, and prefer not to be trading places back and forth when doing our nightly routine. First world problem, of course, but it's our preference.

I agree on good closet organization. I'll be back when I'm working that out. :-) Right now there's just a single rod down each end (door is at corner).
