Oh i've never heard of spartioides. I have seen kanyakumariana. Pretty cool too. I have dekeae. I purchased it in June 2020. It has done absolutely nothing since. If it lives on the same schedule as Rotundiflora, I guess I have three more months to wait for it to do something. I absolutely adore it though and I am pleased that at least it is still alive!

Congrats! I think it has cute flowers, but I hear they smell of wintergreen, which I am not fond off in fragrance or flavor lol. My lobbii and my celata I got of of Etsy last year have hardly grown at all. So yes, they definitely take time to acclimate and grow. Of course, it's an easier adjustment in the warmer seasons, unless you have a greenhouse/sun room/sun porch/growing setup. I've seen deykeae on an Instagram post lately and it's gorgeous!

I don't even know what the flower of rotundiflora looks like! haha. I generally buy hoyas for the foliage. The flowers almost never come so they are just a bonus I guess.

Yes, I'm very anxious for deykeae to grow. I can't wait to see it push out a new cute leaf!

I usually buy for the foliage, as well. Foliage is always there (hopefully, anyway), flowers are just a bonus, fragrant flowers an extra special bonus :-)

You people are killing me! I want to purchase something soon, but these cold temps and constant snow storms are precluding me from ordering anything.

I had to take a trip to Home Depot this morning, so I thought I'd look at the plants. What a disappointment. Everything was dead or mushy. I then went to Loews, cause HD didn't have the item, so I decided to check out their plants too. Another disaster. They too were all dead. It's so disheartening.

Come on warm weather.

The one hoya that I find my self enamored with the bloom is cinnamomifolia. For some reason that bloom contrast just speaks to me. But the chances of me getting a bloom from it if I do purchase is very small. So I better like the foliage too!

Once the weather warms up I'm most likely going to purchase, beg or borrow some interesting leaved hoyas. I bought some net pots and leca from Amazon, and now all I need are plants to put into them! I can't wait.

Of course I'm in the middle of a sleet/ice storm right now. What else is new? 😡
