backsplash and cabinet selection

We are updating an all white kitchen/black granite with new shaker doors, counter, backsplash. I’m thinking of going with white uppers, and lowers painted with Farrow & Ball Railings. Plus a new clean white quartz counter and this penny circle for a backsplash. I think the grey and blues will play off the lowers nicely, without being too much. Thoughts?

Pennies are awfully busy for a backsplash. I'd suggesting going with a larger format circle if you want something different or something like a hex.

That Farrow & Ball colour is really gorgeous.

I agree that the penny tile looks a very nice match and it might work nicely.

I don't want to turn you off your choices and you should do what you love.....I just feel that penny round tiles are a bit bathroomy, more than kitchen.

Here are some other tiles that might work with your choices, in different shapes.

You might check with the manufacturer of the penny tile you have in your pictures to see if they have others shapes/sizes in the same colours.

This one is Cloe tile by Bedrosians. It has variation in colour. The white grout shown here with it isn't doing it any favours in my opinion. A less contrasting grout would look better.

I am actually trying to finalize my kitchen - F&B Railings is my top contender right now if I decide to paint vs. stain my island. The penny tile you have above is one of the tiles I have saved for behind a mirror in one of my bathroom remodels! Guess we have some similar ideas!

I agree with mvcanada above re: penny tiles making me think about a bathroom vs. a kitchen - not sure if that’s just because I’ve saved that tile for one of my bathrooms.
