Did the cuttings include a section of stem or were they just leaves? I mean the stem of the plant, not just leaf stems (petioles).

If there was no stem these cutting won‘t develop. Even if there was stem I wouldn’t expect much growth in winter.

Yes, as stated, you need stem. You only included the leaves and leaf petiole. they likely will not grow into anything unfortunately.

and.. its winter for most of us.. a usual slow period ... so you might just wait and see if they trigger come spring ...

i also wonder about the amount of light they are getting.. next to a fireplace .... how far are they from a good light source??? .. lack of sufficient light can slow everything down ...

thank you, all! yes i realized that not having a part of the main stem would probably result in no new growth. i didn’t cut these myself and didn’t realize this until work was already put into rooting, so i figured i’d see what happens! they are directly beside a southern facing window (to the left) and the fireplace is not used. the soil on top is slightly dry but underneath is still moist (deep pot, i know, another downfall). i guess we will wait a year and see... thanks again!
