Window Styling Help

I want to put curtains up in my family room. However, I can't figure out what will work well. I have 2 windows and a 12 panel door on the same wall(see pic with no curtains). They all have blinds. Do I put a long rod across all of them and curtains (see pic with curtains) OR curtains next to the windows and a valance above the 12 panel door OR...Help

I would remove those blinds and get some light into the space for sure and as for the actual window covering the best for this is roman shades and I really dislike skimpy drapery panels hung to the dise of each window . In your case the door would not function well with the idea you posted If it awas mine i would do solar shades to control heat and UV and still allow the view and then run a rod all the way across the whole space hang drapes that are at least 2.f x the width of the rod and probably with grommmets to make opening and closing simple . If you style is a bit more ttraditional the a traverse rod and pleated drape would also work
