I use the Home Design app and it’s been really helpful, free, and a few dollars for the upgrade. I like that I can look at it on my phone when I’m waiting for appointments etc, but it would be nice if I could use it on my computer too, bc I feel it would go faster.

There are several in the app store called Home Design. I tried Home Design 3D but it seems like you have to start from scratch. I'm looking for one where I upload a photo of the room and then can edit it from there.

I use Rugs USA or eSale rugs for rugs (other vendors may have visualization tools, those are the ones I'm familiar with). For paint I use the Benjamin Moore Personal Color viewer. For everything else I use Word. Yes, Microsoft Word. You need to be able to insert pictures, remove backgrounds (Picture tools/format/remove background), float images so you can layer them (right click/wrap text/in front of text), and change the order of the layering (Picture tools/format bring forward/send backward/send to back/send to front). You can go a long way with just those. I generally do the paint and/or rug first in the vendor tools, then pull the resulting image into Word for furniture and art.

Yes Home Design 3D is what I use. You can upload blueprints, not sure about working from a picture. I was able to modify one of their pre made templates fairly quickly. But I can understand how it is a hassle.
