We are also experiencing warmer weather--72 today!! Spread pine straw on some of my hosta beds. It will be great working weather tomorrow too, so I hope to get all my pine straw spread out. Then we have several days of rain in the forcast that will settle the pine straw on the beds. My daffs, thrift, purple and yellow crocus are blooming (The pink ones I planted last fall came up bright yellow. What's with that?). I am so happy for the spring like weather. The pulmonaria is also blooming??? I think it is confused. Hurry early spring.

Canis familiaris, pops up all over the garden, ever-brown. Carries a seed-like pod around and drops it near busy gardeners.

Azalea, makes wine-red flowers in about 1 month.

Gutter drainage pipe wide daffodils.

The garden sans hosta, for now.

Looks like spring has sprung for you already. Seeing crocus makes me so happy. Can't wait for mine. So far nothing but snow here.

lol, nw, is that a daff way over there by the tree in back?.... oh no, never mind. Only white stuff!

46 here today and in the 50's this weekend. Perhaps we can put away the shovels and start worrying about flooding! Never a dull moment. . . .

It is 61 right now with a high today of 63, and tomorrow it will be 70 degrees F. No freezing temps in the forecast over 10 days, so first false spring is here!

I want to come visit and get some clippings for my rooting bed. You have beautiful camellias! and those beautiful helleborus must set seeds... There are a whole bunch of 2 leaf seedlings coming up under some of my helleborus. I saw them today and plan to try to gently dig them up and put them in some little pots this week. Rain is coming back in tomorrow. My winter honeysuckle is blooming and smells so yummy. One of the hybrid edgwarthias has also opened its blooms. The "granny" edgwarthia and the red one are still closed and their flowers are smaller.
