The wood is fine. I like it. I dont like the yellow and blue walls. I would just pick what you want for colors and paint it. I do like your countertops, and I dont mind the floors, although, dont think the floors and the countertops really go good together. At least in your picture, they dont. The yellow walls added into the mix are too much. Maybe paint the walls white, and it will blend things together a bit more in the bathroom .

Prime the walls with white primer. Then look at light blue green paints such as Palladian blues that will go with wood and tile.

IMO no wothr stressing over in a 1993 house the trim usually was nothing special so paint it all including the bathroom cabinets. Before doing any choosing of whate change your lighting to all LED 4000K to get it right .I aslo would not do crown it really does not belong in this house.

I agree that because the trim is so thin I would paint over it. If there is a spot where it’s thicker. Or cool wainscoting or something. Show us!!
