Try painting that wall (with the lamps and table) a feature color - something that ties in with other colors in your home.

I think it's the art. Try to hang it up higher, just a bit above the lamp shades.

I'm not sure the art looks like it fits with the rest of what you have going, but I think it needs to go up.

On second thought...raising it up won't fix it, then it will look strange with the arrangement on the other wall.

Your lamps are really pretty, but with the drum shades and the pattern on them they are crowding out the picture, making the console seem to short. So things are somewhat out of balance here. I agree that there are a couple of different looks going on and they seem to be fighting with each other. From the other decor in your space, I'm kind of getting a classic/modern vibe, and with the lamps it's more boho. Then the floral arrangement On the bottom shelf is saying traditional. So it seems like something has to go, and I would pick the lamps (could they work as bedside lamps because they really are very nice?). I picture 2 tall candlestick lamps on each side of that picture, and I would leave the picture where it is. I also would remove the florals from the bottom shelf.

Another option would be to not have any lamps and do a picture light above.

Yes, eclectic. And crowded. The lamps or art has to go somewhere else.

The art and lamps are really contrasting styles, the don't flow well together. And neither seems to match with the console or the rest of the space.

It seems that you need to embrace your modern style, or the traditional.

Some ideas to consider. A modern medallion, a splash of color.

I noticed the small storage and books in one of these photos, I think it looks nicer than than the plants in the other photo.

Any piece of art I tried to arrange with you lamps...the size just didn't work, I don't think that any art and the lamps can live together.

I think your art is quite nice. I like how it plays off of the series of modern mirrors on the other wall. And it is sized right for the console, although a slighter larger piece would also work.

I agree with an earlier poster that there should be no flowers, no anything under your console table. The lamps do not work, the arrangement looks crowded/ I would get rid of thoses 2 vases on the ground next to the console table. less is more

I agree with Greg, taller artwork ... and not any wider then the table. If you really want to keep the lamps, put a tall narrow mirror on the wall instead of a piece of art.

I'm liking what you have started here. My suggestions. The lamps are competing for attention and are too "White".
Could you try this before getting diff shades or lamps.

Remove the left side lamp and move the table over to the right a bit - so the picture is more to the left not centered. MOve the 2 vases on the floor from the right side to the left side (to kind of balance off the lamp.
Remove the plastic flowers from bottom. Your picture and vases compliment each other - the shade should be more taupe color. Could you stain it with a teabag? They may be very expensive and you don't want to do that. Or try a new shade.

Does this console "speak" about the style statement guests are going to encounter as they move into the other rooms off of this entry? What does it say about you? The entry should introduce you, your personality and the theme that will be found in the rooms it serves. The leather seating does not work at all here, and I think the style message is a bit confused. Unfortunately, many entries are just a collection of the items people couldn't find a spot for in the rest of the house. That should not be the case. This space is your first encounter with your guests and first impressions do count!

I had another look at the pic of the glass console you said you really like, and it might work if the rest of your look is quite modern. But the grid of mirrors on the side wall and the leather chair suggest that it's a look you like. If you went with the glass console, you would need a modern piece of art above it, an I framed abstract for example (think Picasso). The urns would have to go and the rest of the space would require almost a minimalist approach to make that console the star of the show. But if you love it, I do think it could work. If you went that route, I picture your rug being warm and traditional, maybe a Persian or tribal rug, just to throw in that wonderful juxtaposition of modern vs. traditional.

I would remove the floor vases and get smaller lamp shades of a solid color. Keep the art. The arrangement on the bottom shelf is too big and flowing....something smaller or nothing would be better. IMHO

It seems the console is traditional and your style is modern. I would replace the console with a more modern door style that way it will work with the art you have chosen.

I think a large mirror almost the width of the table and about 42" high. I think the only things you would need is a black and white pillow on the chair. White wash the lamp bases. A few white accessories on the table. A couple of light binders for books. Remove the two vases and place under the collage. Remove the green fern. Eclectic mix.

Go asymmetrical: One lamp on one side of the other. Fill bare space with an oversize rectangular and vertical canvas art. Would the palm plant in your picture maybe look better replacing the floor vases in the corner, as well as the floral arrangement currently below the console? If you still need something else on the table besides the lamp, go for something reflective, some bling.

Loved LB interiors before and after. The least expensive option too! Use what you have - it is nice after all and can always be changed in the future.

I love the glass one. You have a lot of dark wood already. Go another way. Right now to much stuff in small area. Also your picture is to small I would go large 42" sunburst mirror. It will bring in light. I don't think you need rug. Place Asian item on top like Buddha Head, Bamboo. Keep it minimal. Nothing on side. Though I love the pots. Put in another area.

This room looks familiar did you post before. Not sure why chair is there? I would remove and place a couple if zebra ottomans there instead.

Those lamps need to go somewhere else... it looks a little busy.
