Are you a cold climet fig grower Bob ?

I am a zone 7a fig grower. Use to be a going nuts fig collector, now scale down a lot. Being more choosey. More into mandarins and Pomelo’s.

Starting a different approach with figs. Japanese style growing figs, inground. Also smaller containers and smart pruning.

My large container, mostly with Smith figs are growing in 20 gl container containers.

Are these all fig trees ?

I made caddy for my 3 fig trees in SIP containers too, way easier to shuffle them.

I love Pomelo's.

Your tree’s look great, well taken care of. Got some more figtrees in my Greenroom, those were transplanted last summer in much smaller containers. They are growing very fast now after a short dormant time. My goal is 12 container tree’s, not more. Have over 30 citrus tree’s In containers. over 20 inground figtrees.

Spring just entering the gates here, buds on fig trees in garage noticrd tast too.

Yes the green fig leaves are so pleasing to the eyes 🌞.

Anna, my growroom, use to be my stained glass shop has winter temps around 65*, 24/7.

I grow some subtropical tree’s, Jaboticaba, Avocados, Pandan, citrus. April 15 they will be moved out in the yard with the rest.

I was always fascinated by stained glass 🙂

Today was nice enough to roll 3 of my fig trees out o garage for 4 and half hours

The temperature was that high only in that corner, in the middle of back yard temperature was 44 F.

Fig season just started here for me 😀

Yes yes it might still be snowing but they can use any extra sunny hour they can.
