I'm not understanding the problem. Picture please?

Hi Joseph, I posted picture of where they put the hook up for the water. The attachment for the rain shower head is meant to be horizontal, on the wall above the shower lever. So instead of buying a new shower set up, or smashing up the tile to fix this, can i get a new arm that will allow for the shower head to dangle from the ceiling instead of the wall? Hope that makes sense now

My bet would be no since we are looking at raw wood. Yikes.

I don't think you need to worry about tearing out your tile; it all has to go anyway based on the raw wood shown in your niche. I'm not crazy about the Greenboard ceiling which is supposed to be fastened 12" on center to prevent sagging. Obviously yours isn't. Improper waterproofing; improper Greenboard installation; it's all gotta go.

Thanks for the input . I’m in Spain so the house is concrete and it looks like wood but that’s bricks . We had just ripped out how the niche was done because it wasn’t done they way we wanted ... don’t build a house when your out of country .. thank COVID for that .that was lined with marble .. they love their marble here .

I asked about waterproofing too as I had same thoughts but apparently practice here is not here. The contractor .. whose my husbands uncle stated the material used to glue not necessary because he says it’s impermeable. This is what they use. Your thoughts ? I’m not enjoying building a house in Spain so far .
