HJ, I’ve got a bed full of paste tomatoes. Is there anyone at church who cans? Any food banks with gardens?

Once I finish planting tomatoes tomorrow and separate what I’m giving to my boss, I’ll know what I have. Although, it sounds like we have enough of those.

HJ, I gave away all my leftovers on freecycle last year. Guy showed up & scooped them all.

Very few requests (and I'm bringing nothing to trade, sadly).

We could use a few bearded iris (any color), and perennial flowers that are dependable in sandy loam and that do well in partial shade to shade.

That's just about how tall it grows, Sharon; maybe just a little shorter, 16-20" in my yard. Do you all remember how Dawn warned us about it??

Bruce, the parsley is coming up from seed dropped by last year's plants. I had it in a pot. This is coming up in the dirt next to the pot.

Amy, if the LB petunias show up, I'll scoop some of those up. There is something coming up, but I don't remember what it is. I recognize it, though. I would hate to bring you a common weed. LOL. Possibilities would be LB petunia or possibly morning glories. But, a comparison picture doesn't look like either. I'll take a picture of it.

Regina, I have comfrey but the plants are big. I can dig them up and see if they'll transplant well for you. They are hardy plants for sure. The first one I received from Dawn years ago, was put down--still in it's pot--in it's current location and forgotten about really. Its roots grew through the holes in the bottom of the pot. The following year I cut the pot away from it and it is doing great. Has made babies.

I am happy to share honeysuckle too, but I don't see any runners. I can try to propagate it. I pulled a piece off to try for Kim. I can do another one for you too.

I dug up my huge clump of comfrey. I put a part in a plastic bag from potting soil, and promptly forgot about it till two days ago.

They still look viable. I separated and potted 6.

I have a lot of basil too. Sweet basil... guess I should look at the packet?

Moni...iris look great! LB petunias are "Laura Bush"... they're amazing in the heat AND the cold, and will often survive from one year to the next. One plant can fill a space a foot square, at least...often double or triple that. They're prolific bloomers, too.

Moni - the plant that I had mentally marked as sungold is egg yolk in real life. I still have one that is labeled sungold that I suspect is actually bendigo moon. I think you’d enjoy either but if you want to know for sure what you’re growing you might want to get a plant from Bruce.

Sorry I put my plants in the wrong section: but here is what I will be brining: 5 extra peppers (2 cayenne and 3 bells (Corona or Super Shepherd). I did have lots of tomatoes too but the 'frost' killed all mine that were planted - even though we covered them up!!! :(

Kim, I took a piece of the coral honeysuckle and put it in a jar of water a week or two ago, but it didn't make roots. I recently read that a LARGE 3 ft. piece of plant needs to be put in water. The piece I took was much smaller. Do you want me to bring (in water) a 3 ft piece to try?

Regina, I feel pretty safe in saying there will be plenty of tomatoes to choose from. Everyone seems to grow gobs more than they have room, and all the extras get swapped around. And I'll be bringing mine; they're not very big like everyone else's but they should take off once they get in the ground.
