Is the square-ish block on top wood or metal? If you can remove that, it will be easier to find a way to hang it.

Have you looked for items locally that would help you hang it?

You might find some interesting ideas at your local "antique"/vintage (used stuff) store or, if there is an estate sale of a farm or if there is a metal shop in your town -- welder or someone that makes trailers or metal art. If you can make it portable, consider doing that --- perhaps using large fire place irons to create a stand and/or other farm/ranch equipment. What you find might to display it -- how it will be displayed -- might well make difference in where you want the item.

Consider sanding it and using some black spray RustOLeum rust reformer and paint on the bell before hanging it.

It's surely heavy, so I wouldn't install it high. Well ya never know... it could look as good low height on a Liberty Bell kind of stand.

A metal smith would probably enjoy making a yoke (top part) or upright (bottom part) to get that bell up and swinging again for you. Since they don’t get asked to do that all the time. Alternatively, there’s a company called Pringle Station that makes cast iron bell parts. Check out their website by same name.

My parents had a bell like that at our house. I don't know where your house is located, but those bells are very loud and could be quite annoying to any house within several hundred feet. So, put it where it wouldn't be easy for a mischievous person to sneak up and pull the rope.

What about creating a box of sorts under your wood patio deck, and mount the bell near the top.

Mazsola, My house exterior is in a 'wannabe-modern farmhouse', so I would like to incorporate the bell outside! It really doesn't fit my contemporary style inside. It has it's clapper, but I will not rope it...ringing it gets on my nerves!

Your bell isn’t designed to swing. It’s supposed to be a stationary hanging bell with a moving clapper. A rope usually hung from the clapper, and you swung it to ring the bell.
Hubby created this arch on our gate, and made a wooden 4 sided clapper that basically turned it into a wind chime. It takes winds over 15 mph to activate it, and then it gives a soft ‘dong’ so it isn’t annoying.

Really like the bell; agree would be better as an outdoor display rather than an indoor display. You have fenced area in the back yard. Is that a backyard patio where you could display it and not end up having the neighborhood pranksters ringing the clapper or tossing pebbles at it or shooting it with BBs ?

One idea might be to hang the a bell in a "well" rather than a bucket.

Perhaps the base of the well below the bell could be a cabinet for hiding water hoses, etc.

Hi. This is simple but an idea. How about just installing the bell on the "ceiling" above the bay window (under the balcony)? Hang it like it's a chandelier and maybe even outline with solar string lights. If it doesn't look too bad, I'd leave the patina/character and not paint the bell.
