Had them for over 5

years,..and this is the first time I can see the flower. Always thought it was a Neoregelia because it grows wide and flat,...like a Neo,..it can take Florida’s sun but it stays red in the shade ...never grow over 24 inches tall by 30 inches wide. Because of the flower I know it has to be some kind of Aechmea, but I have every Blanchetiana,.and there’s no way this is one of them,...the pups grow very close to the mother plant, always looking like a perfect bromeliad it’s never leggy, it reminds me of patricias secret the way it grows. Any ideas,...thanks
