When you say the leaf crown may be damaged, what do you mean?

Is it soft? If still firm, it may be okay. How cold did it get by the way? Time will tell. I would not suggest watering at all at this point, it will only hurt. I would also not feed it. As I am sure you know, they can recuperate from 100% defoliation. Your plant is in a container, as such it's not as cold tolerant as one in the ground, and I know those suffered big time too. I have about five of these, big ones. Yes, I know they weigh a ton but I have no alternative and wheel mine in and out of the garage on a seasonal basis. In any case, I don't think there is anything you can do at this point but wait. Good luck!

Thanks much! If you see the picture I see some mushy stuff around the crown covering the leaves. But the actual baby leaves are hard and prickly. Crown is also orangish in color. Not sure if it's the sign of a damaged leaf crown or not.

I agree, time is what it will take. These will produce pups at the base so even if you lose the crown the plant itself could survive. Although, it won't have that height for a while. But whether it survives or not, it can take quite a long time to find out.

I once had one that I assumed for dead, it was back in the day when I used to keep them in an apartment. Kept it in a darkened corner and forgot about it. No light and no water, and then months, it started to grow.

It seems mine one will come back then. It was outside with cover during the recent Texas winter storm, but Sago palms are tough plants. They survived last ice age. So, I'm hopeful,. My neighbors windmill palms are coming back. They are large palms on the ground.
