White dots on V. Monstera clipping

Hi All,
I recently recieved a V. Monstera which I've put into water for root growth before potting in soil.
There's a nice little bump where the root is coming through but I'm a little concerned about white specs appearing on the underside of the node and around the new root.
I've attached a piucture below; is this anything to be worried about?
