Same dilemma. Also liking backsplash tiles whire with wash of gray. We have Leathered granite, maple cabinetry, and floors will be something to not interfere w nearby oak flooring

@DerylRobson your cabinets look similar to mine! I also need something that won’t interfere with wood floors. Ours are hickory. I’d be interested to know what you choose for your floor.

The first is the matte satin tile and the second is the one that has texture. Opinions?

my first thought about your backsplash consideration- we noticed that shinier tiles look nicer with our more satin granite (we got leathered surface) and a more matte might look good w shinier counters.

I do love texture so it will depend on how it plays off of your countertops.

Our floors are darker gray/black square stone look tiles currently and we will be enlarging the area and changing but to something similar.

I’m in a similar boat and picked up some samples, I liked the matte tiles much better in my space, the texture on the tile felt busy. What is the first tile?? I like it a lot.

Deryl Robson, Our backsplash will be shiny, a white with gray watercolor type effect. The floor is what’s making me bonkers. I also love texture, but think I’m leaning toward the less textured first picture since our countertops will be leathered. Makes me feel better to hear you have a dark floor since our color scheme is similar!

kjb84, the first tile is Emser Chiado II Jerome. I like it a lot too... probably the one we will go with.

Btw, these tiles are quite a bit darker in person!
