Shower with no arm?

I'm moving into an apartment that appears to have no shower arm up high where they usually are. The shower head that's there is connected to a water outlet that is near the bath faucet and there is a holder for the shower head high up above on the wall. Is there something I can do to "make" a shower arm or am I stuck having to find a shower head that mounts on a holder? I currently have a Delta in2ition shower head like this one that can only get water from an arm up high so I won't be able to use it in this new apartment.

If anyone can help out I'd appreciate it.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of hardware that allows you to mount some kind of arm on the wall. I think the best you can do is to buy a longer hose and use the existing bracket or a different one. You should be able to attach an arm between the hose end and your preferred shower head but getting it to stay in place may require using some wire. Since it's a rental, I suggest you simply go with the longer hose and hopefully the bracket will keep the existing showerhead secure. Sorry I don't have any better ideas.

Agreed.

Sorry about the resolution but this is the only photo I have from an older posting of the apartment that shows the shower and we don't have access to the apartment yet to go in and get better shots. It's a horrible photo, but maybe it sparks some ideas of what kind of fixture that is? (And yes the apartment has long since had its caulking redone, this must have been a few years ago because the apartment was in much better shape when we saw it 2 weeks ago).

Guess I'm not clear on what it is you want to do. There are adjustable shower arm extensions as well as adjustable shower head holders with suction cups. Maybe one of those is what you are looking for?

The issue is that the OP wants to use a specific type of shower haed that normally screws onto an arm, but there is no arm installed and the plumbing connection is at the tub.

Exactly. But I'm willing to look at other stuff because it's clear that the head we have now simply won't be usable.
