Potted Grapefruit Die Back

Hello all,

I am looking for some advice on a potted grapefruit that I have. I keep it indoors for winter, and both last winter and this winter later in the year I noticed that I'm getting dieback on some of the larger branches at the bottom (see photos below). In both cases it is really localized and seems to spread from wherever it begins. Last year it stopped once spring hit and | moved it outside (probably still over a month away for me).

What could be causing this? I water it roughly once a week (when it's bone dry), fertilize throughout the winter, and have it on 12 hours of grow light time each night. I'd hate to lose this tree as I grew it from seed and have had it for over 10 years now.

Thank you for your help!
