Ic an't read what it says on the works....if there a name?
Appears to be a bronze French mantle clock that either has very good condition gold leaf or has been sprayed gold with a rattle can paint.
Does it hold a magnet?

Since no mention of what type of details you want it is hard to provide.

A couple of details I will give you is that the body of the clock was probably made by one manufacturer and the clock works made by another. Both are different crafts and unlikely to be found in the same workshop. Second detail is that is has been repaired at one time or the other. If you look you will see white metal vs the darker pieces of the uprights.

From an easy search I found this so your clock works were made after the bronze metal was awarded but before the gold one was. "The information about the name of the company is incorrect. " Medaille de Bronze" means bronze medal which was the award received in 1860. The name of the company is Samuel Marti & Cie. The medal, a second class one, was received at the Paris Exhibition of 1855. The company also received a Medaille d"Or (gold Medal) in Paris, 1900."

A lot of the selling price would depend on if the finish is original or as I said spray painted....or carefully restored gold leaf.
