We are redoing our guest bathroom and plan on using a simple pattern for the floor to add a bit of interest, along with elongated white subway around the tub.

Whenever we’ve redone bathrooms, we’ve used the floor tile as a baseboard, rather than wood trim, in the event of water on the floor. But we’ve never done a pattern on the floor.

What would you recommend? The subway tile, extending the pattern as trim, wood trim or a complementary solid tile for the trim?
