I've had stair carpet (runner) with rods, which extends to my second floor hallway for many years.

I'm tired of the carpet design and it need to either be replaced with another carpet choice that goes with my updated interior and wall color, or I'd like to get rid of carpet all together and treat my wood stairs with something that makes them less slippery.

If it wasn't for fear of people and my dogs slipping, I'd leave the stairs naked.

Any advice?
