It's a Poa species, maybe Poa cuspidata?

Thanks Jay, i think you’re right, it does look like a Poa. I’m trying to collect some sedges from the woods and thankfully these are flowering otherwise I might mistake them for one.

Sedges are very distinct in morphology from grasses. This link may be helpful in determining the differences as you go about your collecting :-)

Northraleighguy, some Carex species are very hard to ID, and require a ruler and magnifier, bring it on. I'm collecting more myself to use instead of a monoculture grass lawn.
