i would have started in MEDIA ... but what s done is done ...

soil is usually used to describe mother earth ... it is not a potting media ... and yes i know they call it potting soil ... but i am encouraging you to be more precise in the words you use ...

i would moisten some media ... put it in a small pot.. stick the plant in it ... and set it in a baggie with the open top up ... to create a little humidity area for the leaf ... i would not close it ..

in a week or 3.. i would gently pull on it .. and if it comes out ... put it back ...

if you get resistance ... its rooted ... and i would remove it from the baggie ....

and when i could see roots out the bottom .. i would up pot it ... to the next size pot ...

do not go directly to a large pot ...

By potting media would 2 parts cocogrow, 1 part orchid potting mix and 2 parts perlite, (same mix I use for the V.Monstera) be suitable to pot into now?

I have a small pot for the cutting which would be ideal (see here).

imo.... just about anything will do ...

but wet it first ... if bone dry.. that might take a day or two ...

i dont rely on using very dry stuff.. and then hoping i can get it properly moist with a watering can ... too much of this stuff is nearly water repellent when bone dry ...

and what the heck does bone dry mean anyway .. lol ..
