take it back.. and ask the seller whats going on .. and demand your money back.. im not even sure i would accept a clean plant from them ...

how about a pic of the whole plant ... are the spots on just one leaf??? .. if so.. ignore it ...

and im sure it doesnt need to be said.. but next time.. spend the time at the seller.. to look at the plant.. and then walk away from it.. if it isnt PERFECT ... you paid good money to enjoy a new plant.. not to take on a sick plant.. if in fact it is sick ...

just disturb the webbing.. and see if it returns ... the plant may have been treated or fumigated.. or whatever ... at the grower.. and perhaps whatever it was.. is gone ..

always insist in actually finding an ongoing problem.. before you start slathering on remedies in fear ..

That doesn't look like webbing to me. Looks more like fungal mycelia. But don't panic!! Mycelium that forms on potting soils is completely natural and also harmless. It is just the visible evidence of saprophytic fungi that are digesting the organic matter in the soil.

The only concern would be that the potting media (and/or the moss mulch) is retaining too much moisture.

@gardengal48 (PNW Z8/9) phew!! That’s what someone else said in a different thread as well, thank you!! I do plan on reporting with half potting mix, half perililte. Do you have a recommendation on how long i should wait?

Remove the moss and show us a pic of the potting mix as well as a side view of the whole plant including the pot.
