how long have you had it..

do you mist your plants .. how do you water ...

watch that new leaf.. to see if there is something currently going on ... or whether this is a problem that might be gone.

where are you.. big city name.. so we might understand how strong that sun is ..

welcome to the forums.. the more info you can give us.. the better for us to help you ... just telling us about spots and showing us the spots leaves to much to guess ...

and.. you may as well give us a pic of the whole plant ..

Hi Ken, i've had it for about two months and it's put out about six new leaves since. I live in North London.

I used to mist my calatheas but I stopped a month ago because I was told that misting is not effective at raising humidity. In any case, my flat has poor ventilation and there is a problem with condensation from cooking and showering so guests have often commented that my flat feels humid.

I water it when the soil is dry at the top, but usually about once a week.

These spots have only appeared recently and the plant didn't have them when I bought it. The newest leaf is free from spots at the moment but i'll keep an eye on it!

Is it at all possible that someone else has been near the plant doing anything that could've created harmful overspray, such as cleaning windows, polishing furniture, using hair prouducts, airborne fragrances, cooking oil spray?
