chestnut vine yellowing, and other plant issues - what's wrong?

First to give an idea of my space: I'm in a small apartment and all my windows are SE facing, actually more south than east. I'm on a hill, so the morning light is very direct and bright. I've recently gotten some new plant species I've never had before and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong here.

1. Chestnut vine (Tetrastigma Voinierianum)

I had this on a table about 10 feet from the window. It started to develop some yellow/white leaves (basically some leaves were losing their color and turning a pale white/yellow). New growth is coming in, so I'm not sure if it's just natural for it to lose leaves or what. I do know this is a mature and old plant. I thought maybe its gotten too much light, so I moved it to about 12/13 feet from window, and gave it some miracle grow fertilizer. I read that this plant like to "eat" a lot.

I don't think I'm overwatering it.

2. Fishbone Cactus (Epiphyllum anguliger)

This one is also a mature plant and was used as a "mother" to propogate cuttings (from the person I got it from).

It seems like it's doing ok, but I see in the middle some stems that are almost purple (very plump). Also see some random growth that is yellow and gone limp. It's about 10 feet from the window. I'm not sure if all this is normal or if I need to change the regimen. Again I don't water this too much but I read that it likes moisture as its not really a cactus.

3. Lipstick Plant (Aeschynanthus radicans)

Ok, I had this once a long time ago, and I feel like I ran into the same problem. Once I watered it (a good soaking after about 2 weeks), it started to do poorly. I can't figure it out - and some things I'm reading seem to say it actually likes a lot of moisture, others say it likes to be almost dry. Which is it?

The blooms on it were amazing, but now it's dropping a lot of leaves. Some of them have turned brown although not dry which I would expect if it were a lack of water?

Did you give fertilizer to all? How much? Assuming you give enough water and no soil changes, it probably caused by over fertilizer or disease.

Thanks Ekor. I did give it fertilizer - the 24-8-16 (I believe thats the ratio) miracle gro. I used the normal dilution per gallon. Although I do remember, I also gave the plant some leftover diluted coffee water before. Is it possible it got "too much" nitrogen?

I can't visibly see any signs of possible disease other than some leaves losing color. I'm wondering if I should give it a good soaking in the tub. I want to repot soon anyway in a different medium. I'm always hesitant with the mediums it comes in, because they seem to be too water retentive

do you really completely on that gizmo in the first pic.. to determine when they need watering???

10 feet from a window indoors.. might be improper light levels ..

that fert sounds way out of bounds for indoor plants ... at 27 nitro.. it sounds like lawn fert ... i might be wrong on that ... otherwise .. i would use 1/2 strength or quarter strength.. you can always add more ...

Yellowing leaves that appear randomly giving insight that those plants got difficulty on transporting water n nutriens up to the leaves. More nutriens inside the soil, more difficult the root absorbing them since the plant absorb water and nutriens by osmosis. If too much nutriens in the soil, reverse osmosis happen and the plant will dry even the soil is wet. If the soil still able to drain water freely, just soak it up with alot of water to remove extra nutriens in it. No need to change the soil yet at least until plants health recover. Btw, plants that don't grow fruit no need much nutriens. 95%+ of their biomass contain only carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen that they collect from water and air. With good light, water, and air circulation, they will grow fine.

Thanks Ken.

Ok, maybe it was too much fertilizer along with also needing water. I gave it a good drenching for 5 minutes in the tub. Already the pale leaf (bottom center) turned almost fully back green! In a matter of 2 hours!

^^ Disregard that. Ha, it had actually fallen off in the tub. Oh well. But it does seem like it perked up
