What type of grass/moss is growing between the slabs?

It may by synthetic. It would be a good choice for the area so that lawn clippings do not fly in to the landscape beds. Also, that would be a frustrating area to irrigate. Synthetic would not have any of those problems.

This is actual grass- a kentucky blue and fescue blend with irrigation. Works better than moss in our climate.

Saw this in the Parade of Homes and yes irrigation was an issue I saw. Overall though I loved the design.

During the Parade of Homes, the new grass needed to be watered 3x a day which resulted in it being wetter than normal. It is now watered 3x/week with NO issues.

Hello Elizabeth -
EasyTurf is a great answer to the "What to plant between paver stones" question. 2nd Alarm is right - you don't have to worry about lawn clippings with synthetic turf ... nor do you have to worry about mowing, fertilizing, weeding, brown spots, or WATERING! EasyTurf really is "no-worry" turf.

So experts, what does one do when she has 24 x 24 " black limestone pavers pictured but not a linear space to put them in? The kitchen is being remodeled, hence the mess, and this is outside the window.
