So about two weeks ago I prepared a couple of pots with some potting soil and about 25% sand to have good drainage. I sew about 15-20 seeds per pot and put it indoors on a windowsill facing south so they have a good amount of sun. We had a week with exceptional weather so they got drenched in sunlight. In about one week time they sprouted and looked great. But a few days after they started to die when barely 1 cm high.

Anybody know what I did wrong here? Maybe too much sun? I doubt that because basil always needs a lot of sun. They never got dry. I misted every day and sometimes a few times a day. Maybe too many per pot?

I saved about three of four and planted them separately (one per pot). Let’s see how they will do.

I live in Belgium where we have a similar climate as the UK.
