First, what granite do you have? If you don’t know, please provide a pic. Second, please explain why you “think it’s time”. I am asking these things because some granites never need to be sealed at all. In fact, some granites would be marred by sealant because the granite is so dense that the sealant does not absorb and just sits on top causing haze and streaks.

A good test is to pour some drops of water on your counter. Let the water sit 15 minutes. Does it absorb into the stone or does it remain beaded on top? If it remains beaded on top, you don’t need to seal your granite.

If you do need to seal it, the 511 sealer at Home Depot is fine. Do NOT get “enhancer”, just sealer. Buy the smallest bottle available, cause a little goes a long way, and even the smallest bottle will last you many years.
