Looking for: Can I use these leftover liquid to make a soup?

For Easter, we prepared a New England Boiled Dinner in the oven using water, pre-cooked ham and veggies (carrots, turnips, cabbage and potatoes. I still have the watery mix sans all the original ingredients. Could I use that to make a soup of some kind??? Signed, not a cook! ;o))

    The liquid maybe salty.

Taste the liquid, maybe a bean soup? I would discard.

FWIW, New England Boiled Dinner is Corned Beef.

Thanks. Yes to corned beef info but we use ham instead.

Like Jim said, taste the liquid and see if it would make a good base for future soups. IF it tastes good then you could freeze it and then have it for use when you want bean soup or such.
