The style of your dining space is coastal. It’s beautiful! It would be nice to replace your current lighting with a lightweight looking, coastal chandelier. I have posted some ideas of different chandeliers that would look great in your dining room.

Is it centered over the table?

@tedbixby No it not... It is centered with the skylights but not with the table.

I would add a second, matching pendant higher on the ceiling so that two of them could be centered on the table.

Are you able to move the junction box to be centered over your table?

I'm sure I can hire an electrician to do it.... still doesn't solve one of my problems which is I have no idea on the style. I liked some of the suggestions made on this thread... but just not in love with it

A good rule of thumb is to make sure your chandelier is one-half to three-quarters the width of your table.

Have you looked at wicker or rattan chandeliers?

Your pics are not clear on what the size or shape of the room or the furniture...a floor plan and furniture measurements will help...but a guess would be that the table size and shape do not lend themselves to the space you have available...do you seat 8 people daily at this table?
