^^ No, I did not. But I've rooted these particular salvia before, they always take at least a month, if not longer. So 2 weeks is lightening fast in my book.

temperature is a big factor for rooting or germination

I've generally seen little to no positive results with rooting hormone application. If anything it seemed to inhibit rooting for me. (please note that I'm heavy handed and it may have been over-applied).
And due to that experience, I haven't actually used it for fifteen years or so.
