Help with Monstera Borsigiana Albo node cutting.

I'm looking for some help with a Monstera Borsigiana Albo node I bought three weeks ago! It came already rooted with a great healthy looking root system. It came already potted in its current soil mix, and care wise I keep it indoors around 65-75 degrees temps, only Watering enough to keep it damp when it completely dries out. I also have it sitting on a tray with pebbles and water in a south facing window where it gets indirect sun. Today though, I noticed this brown ring on one end of it and not sure what caused it or if it could be harmful!

Any advice or tips?
