A branch of my Skip Cherry Laurel broke off in early spring, so I stuck it in a tall glass container, it slipped down under the water fully submerged and is growing new leaves along stem but no roots.

It's been like this for maybe a month.

Should I leave it in the water to grow roots?

Should I put some root hormone on the end and plant it in a terrarium humid environment to root it?

Advice please!
